THE HISTORY OF THE PATENT
|
| The patent entitled "Patent related to a process for the cold process transformation of Solid Urban Refuses and/or Sludge into inert materials and a plant for it's realization" and its technological innovations, are the outcome of the invention of Prof. Arch. RAFFAELLO BERNABEI, who is the present titular of it. With the technical and legal consult of the Barzano & Zanardo Spa Company, a firm specialized in patents that has its office in Rome, on December 11th 1998, the patent n° W09850319 - besides being protected in Italy - it has been extended and protected in the 118 countries adherent at the PCT (Patent Cooperation Treaty) and singularly also in the following countries: |

| The patented technology foresees the neutralization of the SUR and/or the sludge, through a process that has to be made at cold temperature (40°C) with an exclusive chemical method, by using the polymer binder and a specific catalyst, in a technological advanced industrial facilities, that have to be compatible with the environment as well as with the personnel employed for its management. |
| The material obtained from the transformation of the SUR and/or the sludge does not present any release of heavy metals, results give completely neutralized, excellently physical -mechanical resistant, free from micro-bacterial flora and apt to be used as inert for the asphalt (bituminous) road or concrete conglomerates. |
| The product results being in a fluid state and can be worked so to obtain different sizes of granules or, by means of suitable moulds, different kind of products in both structural building trade and urban furniture fields. |

The process of transformation does not produce final
refuses to dispose in landfills, this because all the wastes rejected
by it are recycled in the process itself!
